HAPPY LOVE DAY!

We had the best Valentine's Day this year. Cupid had been leaving notes in Paislee's and Prescott's mailbox for the past 12 days. When they woke up on Valentines morning Cupid left love gifts. Paislee got a Jamba Juice card, which she was so excited about using and ordering from the "underground menu." Prescott got some Elecare, he was so excited because baby boy loves to eat. They also had some love gifts from dad and mom on the couch when they woke up. Prescott got some new pajamas & Elecare and Paislee got some American Girl doll clothes. We love these two so much and wanted them to know how loved and special they are to our family. Grandpa & Grandma Bawden and Grandpa & Grandma Huntsman also sent some Valentines gifts their way.Paislee had been asking me since the first week of February if she could get Prescott and us a Valentines gift. I tried to get her to make a card for each of us but she already had it in her head what she wanted to get for each of us. So Chad took Pais on a Daddy/Daughter date and after dinner they went to get Prescott and I a love gift. She couldn't wait to give her brother the love puppy she bought him. It was so sweet because she had truly thought through what she wanted to get him. She told us she knew Prescott would love a soft Valentines day puppy because he loves soft blankets. And since she had a Valentines day puppy she thought Prescott needed his own because he loved to chew on hers. Then she was convinced she needed to pick him out a card to go with the puppy. It was so sweet and really how do you not let a 5 year old buy the gift for her brother that she has thought through and was so excited about. It made Chad and I so happy that she has such a loving heart and cares about her little brother so much. When she got her love gift from Prescott she was so cute and told him, "Mister, how did you know I wanted Hello Kitty pajamas?"But her loving heart didn't end with her brother. She also wanted to get a gift for Dad and Mom. So we each took her to buy something for us from her and her brother. It really made me want to cry that my little 5 year old has such a big heart.
Paislee and I also got flowers from the boys in our lives who we love so much!Chad left work early so I could go help at Paislee's Valentines party at school. I love helping in her classroom, it makes me miss teaching. After Pais and I got home from school, our little family headed out to an early Valentines dinner. It was perfect and Chad was able to stay home the rest of the night, total bonus. I love Valentines Day because it makes you remember to do special things to show the people you love just how much they mean to you. The best gift was to see Paislee wanting to show her love to the people she cares about this year. After all that is what love day is all about XOXO!
