We go to the Sandy parade every 4th of July to watch my cousin ride his motorcycle in the parade. The kids have found two favorite traditions each year we go; getting their face painted and getting snow cones.
Throwing snaps, eating treats, watching the parade, face painting, yummy snow cones, collecting candy thrown with your cousins, make for a fun 4th.
We decided to go back home for our own BBQ and firework show with just our little family. We spent like $75 on a big firework pack and they were a totally disappointment.
But this kinda made the $75 worth it. My kids NEVER watch where they are going.
But we soon realized an awesome finding, our deck. From our deck we can see fireworks all over the valley. After watching our own private firework show from the privacy of our very own deck we decided we would never need to spend money on fireworks again. Another reason we love our house and we absolutely LOVE our deck!
