EASTER 2015

Easter morning the kids couldn't wait to find their baskets.
They looked everywhere and this year with the new house there were lots of new hiding spots for the bunny to put their baskets.
Paislee found Luxey's basket first in the dish washer. Prescott found his second in the hall closet and Paislee found her last int he washer machine.

The Easter Bunny didn't disappoint. Their baskets were full of toys and lots of yummy candy.
The Hungry Hungry Hippo game was a family favorite and we had a couple intense games!
We ate Easter breakfast together and then watched General Conference. (When I say we, I mean me!) I loved watching conference on Easter it was very uplifting.

Since we didn't have church on Easter because of Conference, the kids got Easter outfits instead of Easter Church clothes. The creek is the perfect picture background!

In between sessions of conference we had our traditional spiritual hunt. We want to teach the kids so they know the true meaning of Easter and why we celebrate it. The Easter Bunny is a fun tradition but isn't the reason we celebrate Easter. The spiritual hunt the kids find 10 eggs each and then 1 gold egg. The 20 eggs contain pictures of Jesus and the reason we celebrate Easter. We open the eggs together as a family and discuss the pictures. We then open our golden egg which contains our Jesus penny that we wear in our shoes all day. Every time we feel the penny in our shoe it reminds us that about Jesus and why we celebrate Easter. We then bear our testimonies and what an amazing family experience it is and I love how quickly it invites the spirit in. This is truly one of my favorite family holiday traditions!

We were able to have the spiritual hunt outside in the new yard. We love our new house and new yard!
We ended our Easter night at G&G Great's with an Easter egg hunt for money. The cousins love this hunt and even the parents get very competitive helping their kids look for eggs.
Little kids get a head start and then all madness breaks out when all the big kids are set free to start searching!

Paislee and Prescott are egg finding fools, their baskets were both full!
After the hunt is over Grandpa Great pays out for each egg you find. Prescott took second place in the overall prizes, he only lost by 1 egg.
