We take Paislee to a Back To School dinner every year before she starts school. This year she wanted to go to Sizzlers. We talk to her about the things that made us proud from the year before and the goals and things we would like her to work on for the new year.
This is the first year that she has cared about what she wanted to wear the first day of school. But I wanted her to wear something else. I even told her I would take a picture of her on the second day and scrapbook it as her first day. She still wouldn't change her mind, thank goodness Grandma Huntsman still has some power to change her mind. I hate that she is getting old and wants to pick her own stuff out without my help anymore. Boo this stinks, what's next her bows!
However, she wasn't to big to give Prescott and myself a hug and kiss before she walked into her first day of 3rd grade though.
So the silly school fairy TOTALLY forgot about first day breakfast and the backpack fairy TOTALLY forgot about a good luck school gift. I wanted to cry because those fairies NEVER forget important things like this. But the fairies quickly sent a text to Paislee letting her know that they had a problem in fairy land and felt bad but wouldn't make it to her house until she got home from 3rd grade. Thank goodness she was okay with the text and the fairies made sure that they delivered before she got home. Thank goodness mom does the smart cookie and mom didn't forget about that one LOL!
