JULY 24TH CAMPOUT & PARADE

Every year Chad's entire extended family sleeps out for the 24th parade. They have done it so many years that the news did a story this year on the 103 Bawden's who have sleep out for 67 years now. It's a fun tradition, one that my kids love. Paislee favorite part every year is singing the party pooper song with her Grandpa Bawden. Now if you don't know Grandpa Bawden he is a kid at heart. He gathers up all the kids and they stand on the curb and yell honk your horn to cars that pass. If you honk your horn they all clap and scream. But if you make the mistake of not honking your horn, you now have 30 kids with Grandpa Bawden singing the party pooper song as loud as they can. (and it's really loud). Prescott had no idea what the heck he was doing but he loved it just like all the kids, well and Grandpa Bawden.

So I love parades and even though I don't enjoy sleeping out, I always make it back for the parade. My favorite part is when the prophet drives by, I LOVE it! However, the past 2 years Uchtdorf has been in the car that President Monson should be in. It was a real big bummer again this year, here's hoping President Monson will be in that car next year for the parade! Prescott loved the parade and yelled "Moo!" at every single horse, apparently he has his sounds mixed up! Paislee likes the parade but loves sitting with her cousins and eating treats more than the actually parade.
Since Chad had to work this year after the parade, we went to the West Jordan carnival with my parents. The kids went on some rides, we shop at the booths, ate some treats and Paislee and I were interviewed for the news.
They had a small petting zoo that Prescott LOVED!
Prescott also got to ride his sister, Paisley the horse!
Paislee's favorite part was the hamster balls. You climb in them and they fill them up with air and you run around inside of the ball on water like a hamster on a wheel. It was very entertaining to watch!
We ended our night going out to dinner with daddy, it was a fun and tiring day!
