BAWDEN PARADE SPOT

So Chad's family has a tradition to sleep over night to save a spot for the Days of 47 Parade each year. Well this is the first year Paislee got to slept out and she totally loved every minute of it but lets back up. So we all take turns starting at 2:30 AM and all day the next day to save the Bawden parade spot. So after we took our turn saving the spot we headed over to Dylan's work to let the kids swim because it was so dang hot.So after swimming we went home and got showered and then headed back up to have some pre-parade fun. We ate pizza, played games, roller skated, went for a horse carriage ride and last but not least the kids and Terry all did the Party Pooper Honk.If you know my father in law you understand completely how this all works, if not let me clue you in. So Terry gets all the kids and they stand on the sidewalk and yell to the cars to honk. If the cars honks they all scream & cheer but if you drive by and don't honk at the group they all sing the party pooper song as loud as they can. It is the funniest thing ever to watch not only because Paislee finally understood how it all worked this year but also because of how excited Terry gets yelling at the cars, I seriously love this guy!So Paislee slept over for her first time this year and had so much fun. She moved from bed to bed trying to find someone to chat with her because she wasn't ready for bed and all the other kids had already fallen asleep. However it caught up with her because after the parade when we went home she took a 6 hour, yes people a 6 hour nap!!! Paislee has never even taken a straight 2 hour nap since she was a baby but she was so exhausted she took a 6 hour nap.

Love the pictures - just adorable! Perhaps you and the children might want to have a go at making your own skittles game! Fun to make and even more fun to play! http://www.discoveryboxbooks.com/ Playing it really brings us together, and it is practically free to make. It goes to show that bringing the family together can be done by anyone!
