1ST GRADE

School clothes bought, dang you Justice and now it was time to take Paislee to her BTS dinner. We let Paislee choose the restaurant for her back to school dinner. This is our chance to talk to her about school and what we except from her and things that are important to her. This year she wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse for her BTS dinner.The next morning the school fairy brought breakfast and the backpack fairy left a special surprise in Paislee's backpack.Then Paislee got ready for her first day of 1st grade. She didn't get to wear the outfit she picked out because her teacher told us when we went to meet her the day before that the first day was the color red. Paisee was almost in tears because she had her outfit picked out already and it was not red, so we went to Justice right after and bought a new red outfit for her fist day. She looked so dang adorable, even though it wasn't the outfit she wanted to wear. When she got home from school she got to have her favorite dinner which is stroganoff and then for dessert I made a huge cookie, which is her smart cookie for the year.1st grade was so much harder on me than kindergarten. The build up for kindergarten was hard but letting her go half a day was a nice break. But I cried more watching her walk into 1st grade knowing my best little buddy would be gone all day. She has been my best little friend for the last 6 years, we did everything together and I knew I would really miss her. Then she turned as she walked away with her teacher and her class, and waved right at me and yelled "bye mommy" which made me cry harder. But like always Paislee LOVES school and that makes it a little easier. She already got to pull her pin up (that is good) in the first week and she was the only one in the class that got to. Prescott and I miss her so much during the day though and we love waiting out front everyday for her to come home!
