8 WEEKS OF HELL!

In 8 weeks Prescott had:
7 ear infections, 4 of which were double ear infections
1 eardrum burst
2 eardrums retract
3 prescriptions
7 injections
2 bottles of Tylenol for pain
2 bottles of Ibuprofen for pain
1 bottle of Benadryl for inflammation
1 bottle of decongestant
1 ENT who would do tubes but couldn't because the participating hospital the morning I tried to schedule the tubes wasn't working with this ENT anymore.
1 ENT who said Prescott had been "misdiagnosed" and never had ear infections.
10 different doctors opinions
15 different doctors visits
5 doctors who said "He might be teething or just spoiled from being held"
$350 in office copays
1 trip to Primary Children's for a CT scan (which we decided not to do)
1 hearing test
1 tympanometry test
1 pediatrician who finally got that I wasn't crazy
1 tired and worn out mommy
3 sobbing breakdowns
4 grandparents who called daily to check on him
1 sweet neighbor who was the first to text me every morning to see how my night was and then would leave a orange drink on my porch when I needed one.
12 orange Hi-C drinks from McDonalds
13 pounds lost from caring for a crying and screaming baby for 7 weeks straight
1 mommy who wants to scream at the top of her lungs, "I TOLD YOU SO!" because I knew it was his ears causing the pain the entire time.
1 frustrated mom because doctors won't listen to moms, when we are the only ones that get our kids.
8 long weeks later, he is doing so much better. Not 100% but much better.
1 happy and almost healthy baby who sat up for the first time today because he can finally balance since his equilibrium is not off anymore.
BUT he still has to get one more ear infection before tubes! HONESTLY

Poor Prescott. Poor you! That is so hard when they are sick and sad. When you don't get enough sleep it makes it so much worse. I am glad things are getting a little better, and hope it continues that direction. Sorry it has been so crazy.

Holy Cow! That is ridiculous! I hope you are on the downside of this rollercoaster.
