When I taught kindergarten, I always felt bad for the poor summer kids who we would have to celebrate their un-happy birthday. Well, now here we are with a August kid because he showed up 6 weeks early. Summer birthday's just are no fun to celebrate at school. But I did everything I could to make his un-happy birthday a special day for him at preschool!
