A NEW YEAR!

So for some weird reason we do a million parties and trips with both of our families but when it comes to celebrating the new year neither side does anything fun. So we decided it was a perfect time to start our own little family bringing in the new year tradition. We went to dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and then went back to our hotel room.
Paislee loves to write on the hotel note pads every time we stay in a hotel. This time however what she wrote made Chad and I smile. This is her 2013 Bucket List:
I didn't even know she knew what a bucket list was but apparently she saw an episode of Jessie and Luke put that he wanted to get a reindeer on his bucket list. So she told us that she just figured that a bucket list was just a list of things you want to do. So there you go, I guess TV shows sometimes really do teach kids things. But since 2013 was almost over she wanted to do everything on her bucket list before the end of 2013. Chad and I made sure she got to cross everything off her bucket list. Good thing it was a easy list!
Then we did what the kids care about most whenever you go on vacation or stay in a hotel for any reason... SWIMMING!!!
I was a bit bummed because I couldn't get my finger wet so I just sat in the hot tub and watched the kids and Chad play in the pool. The middle picture is what I thought about not being able to play.
The kids played so hard in the pool they were both exhausted and didn't even make it to midnight.
The next morning we took some pictures using the camera timer, the kids thought it was funny.
After Breakfast we made our way up to Midway to see the Ice Castles.
They were amazing and the kids loved them, but really thought they would be able to find Elsa.
We then made our way to Park City and went to a local cafe for lunch. It was so much fun to get away with the kids. It's going to be a bringing in the new year Bawden family tradition every year now.
Starting a new year always brings out the self resolutions and reflecting back on the year and its ups and downs. Chad and I have been through several hard things the past several years. We sat down and talked for 4 hours and decided to make some resolutions together. Forgiving is extremely hard but you can't have faith and doubt at the same time, it just doesn't work. Here's to a new year for our little family!
