Prescott is absolutely obsessed with cars, so it was really easy and super fun putting together his 2nd birthday party. The invitations went out inviting all family and friend racers to come for a night of fun!

It's a Cars party to celebrate Prescott turning 2!
As the guests got there they went into the Radiator Springs Drive Inn to watch Cars 2 and eat special popcorn that even Prescott could eat.As soon as everyone had arrived the kids all got to come and choose their own race car to race down Prescott's track. It was a kinda tricky to have the race because first the kids were VERY excited and ready to go. Since the track was built for Prescott we didn't want a lever, but a lever would have made the race with all the kids a little easier. Even though it was a little crazy right before (hence my father in law in the picture but I won't even get into that) and during the big race, the kids had a blast and the track and their race cars were a big hit.
Since Prescott has major food issues and allergies, I constantly have to pack food everywhere we go. Chad and I decided when Prescott had his birthday it would be the one day he could eat ANYTHING he wanted. For one night we wouldn't have to watch him non stop and jump to grab things out of his hand. So Prescott's party had only foods (aside from the hotdog buns) that he could eat. I wanted to make sure even his party dinner was all about him.
After eating the kids got to play on the race track until Prescott opened presents.
Besides some cute outfits from Grandparents, Prescott didn't get anything but gifts related to cars. Like I said the kid is obsessed with cars and everyone knew that. I have never seen another kid as in love with one single thing like Prescott is with cars. However, opening his presents was a bit overwhelming for him because he didn't understand why he couldn't play with his cars and cars stuff after he opened them. He would open a gift and then say "Pease, Mom." And then I would hand the gift to my mom to hide it away so he would open the next gift. It totally sucked for him, for me, for my mom and for everyone as they watched him open their gift. He was not a happy camper opening his gifts. But after his party we let him stay up until 1:30 AM and he squealed, yelled and played with each and every toy. This was the reaction I thought we would get during the party, better late than never I guess! I just wish everyone else could have seen the excitement and happiness in his eyes as he played with each and every birthday gift he received. Which FYI was a ton of gifts because we have the most amazing family and friends!
After Presents everyone changed into swimming suits and we played some fun cars game. The first game was called Luigi's tire toss. The kids had to throw bean bags into the tire and whoever got the most bean bags in the tire won!
This was Prescott's favorite game!
The next car game was called Ka Chow ringer. The kids had to jump in the pool through a tire tube to stay in the game. If they didn't make it through the tire, they were out. This was an audience favorite!
The last car game was called Mater's tow dive, this game was for the older kids who could dive under water. We took all the cars and threw them to the bottom of the pool and the kids had to dive and tow them back to the surface.
Then it was time to sing to the birthday boy. Since Prescott can't have cake, I made a special gluten free giant rice crispy treat #2 to put his candle on. Since he can't have frosting, I decorated the #2 with flags and pictures of the Cars characters.
Prescott loved it and just sat and stared at it after we sang to him and I just sat there with him loving every minute of it . Watching his sweet face was my pay off for all the hard work that went into planning his party!
His favorite part on his #2 were all the characters, he sat and yelled out each and every character. He could have cared less that everyone else was swimming and eating treats. He was perfectly content and totally intrigued by the characters on his special #2.
As we cleaned things up he went for a swim with Grandpa Bawden.
We had such a great turn out, everyone who loves Prescott was there to show their support on this very special day!
The best part of the night for Prescott was enjoying his birthday toys until he was so tired he wanted to go to bed!
