CHRISTMAS MORNING
Waiting to see if Santa came to our house...Paislee had cleared a special spot for Santa to put her tumbling mats. So when she walked out she was smiling from ear to ear with tears rolling down her cheeks trying to be happy. But pointed at the corner she reserved for her mats and with tears rolling said, "Look no mats," We told her to wait until she opened her presents before she got upset because Santa might have brought something else that he thinks she would like better. She agreed and ran over to start opening her presents.Prescott went right to his tools and played there for the first part of the morning. He loved his tools, he must take after his handy daddy.
So Santa sent the kids both a video and in the video he told them about a new reindeer that was in training. The reindeer's name is Coral and Santa decided to let Coral join the team on Christmas Eve. So Paislee was so excited to see that Coral had left her and Prescott a present. After playing with his tools for a while Prescott realized there was more fun toys for him to play with and he was off pushing and climbing inside his new truck. Then he spotted the basketball hoop and starting dunking the ball, then his cars, then his bat, then whatever else he could dunk in his hoop.Paislee was totally shocked and so happy when she opened her nook from Santa. She now can play her own games and read books on her very own nook. But still you could tell her heart was broken because she still didn't have her tumbling mats she asked for and wanted so bad!But the next gift she opened was a special letter from Santa. It started off explaining how he felt so bad because when they were flying over the ocean the blue mats the elves made for her fell out of the sleigh. The tears started to fall but we told her to keep reading the letter before she got upset. The next part of the letter told her they went down to the ocean to find her mats but they couldn't find them anywhere, the dolphins even tried to help but no luck. They knew she would be so disappointed, and as soon as she read that part she was sobbing and wouldn't read anymore of the letter. Chad and I begged her to keep reading but she was so upset she couldn't. So I took the letter and finished reading it for her.
The next part of the letter explained that when they got to our house Rudolph had a great idea and with some special Christmas magic he left another gift in the basement for her that he knew she would like better than the blue mats that fell in the ocean. The tears dried right up and she went running downstairs to see what special gift Rudolph made her. She was smiling from ear to ear when she saw red and white UTAH tumbling mats. She was so excited because Rudolph made her Christmas perfect. However, he also pooped in the basement right next to her mats. She dared Daddy to eat a poop and Daddy did. She couldn't believe that reindeer poop turns into candy when Christmas magic is used.Prescott was so much fun this year, he was able to open his presents all by himself. We didn't rush him or force him to open his gifts quickly, we wanted to let him do it at his pace. So it actually took Prescott two days to open all the gifts from Santa. We had such a wonderful Christmas and made so many precious memories as a family. I love watching the excited and disappointment lol (when they don't think they got what they wanted) in my kids eyes on Christmas morning. That is better than any gift I could ever get.
As always our kids are so lucky and maybe just a little spoiled lol!
I love that both my parents and Chad's parents come to our house on Christmas Day. We don't have to rush the kids to be anywhere and they get to see and actually play with their Christmas before we leave for the day. Chad's parents bring a bag of gifts for the kids each year, they are so lucky and blessed to have so many people that love and care about them. After we have opened gifts and eat Christmas breakfast, we get dressed and head out to Grandpa and Grandma Huntsman's for presents and the best Christmas dinner ever with all the people we love.At G&G Huntsman's house the kids all get to open tons of gifts, our kids are well taken care of and extremely loved! At the end of the day we headed home, Paislee played with her Christmas and Prescott opened some more of his gifts. We had a great and amazing Christmas this year!
