THANKSGIVING 2012

So I saw these turkey shirts on Pinterest and wanted to make them for my kids so bad. Well if you know a single thing about me, it is that I can't and don't sew. Like not even a button on a shirt. My mom has begged me for years to learn and has volunteered to teach me but I have no desire to sew. Well my sweet and very talented neighbor made some turkey shirts for her kids and with a coke slurpee delivered to her she helped me make shirts for my little turkey's. Well after she helped me make them it bothered me that I had to get help to do something because I don't want to sew. I mean how hard can sewing really be right? So on Black Friday, I had this CRAZY and it is still crazy idea that I am going to learn how to sew and bought a sewing machine. I know crazy huh! I still have the sewing machine and can't decide what to do. I have started talking myself out of it because I am just not sure sewing is my thing.

Anyways back to Thanksgiving dinner. Since we switch off every other year, this year was my parents year. I LOVE going to my mom's for Thanksgiving because her food is the best, no one can come close to Mar Bear's potatoes & gravy! After Thanksgiving dinner was over we played a fun candy ball game and the kids made a candy turkey.

Evey year I have a list of things that I am thankful for. This year my list is very personal! It has been the hardest year of my life and I honestly didn't know how I would ever get through it. But my kids, my family/friends and my Heavenly Father helped me through some rough trials and one day I will be stronger because of them!
