BEAR LAKE CAMPING

We went camping in Bear Lake with my family for Raspberry. We had tons of fun, here's what we did.

We went to the Raspberry Days parade and it was awesome. They threw TONS of candy, toys, balls, fruits & vegetables, string cheese and popsicle's. Lovin' the small town parade!
We went to Laketown to the rodeo, which is always a family favorite. Prescott yelled "MOO!" at all the animals, I'm beginning to think he really thinks all animals say moo.
Paislee, Hallee and Hope did the chicken run. If you caught a chicken, you can keep it or trade it for $5. Well Paislee and Hallee took off after a chicken together. Paislee got to the chicken first and grabbed it but was very nervous to pick it up. So Hallee picked it up for her and they had a chicken. Hope took off after another chicken (she was the smart one that went after the chicken that no one else was after) and she also got a chicken. As I walked over to get a picture of the girls and their chickens, Paislee and Hallee were arguing with a girl holding a chicken. This little red headed girl stole the chicken right out of Hallee's arms. I yelled at the girl to give the chicken back but it was so loud that she couldn't hear me. I think she was ignoring me though, I seriously wanted to jump over the fence and grab the chicken right out of the girls arms. Don't mess with this momma bear! But Hope still had her chicken and told the guy she was going to keep it. Good thing I was standing there to tell her to take the money. Hope got her money and we gave Paislee and Hallee $5 as well. Paislee and Hallee were sad and with good reason but they had fun and they all ended up getting $5. It was a dang good thing we didn't see that chicken stealing red head girl in the parking lot when we left though lol!
We of course had some fun at the lake and beach. Bear Lake is probably my favorite lake, it is so blue and clean. It's a little chilly but so gorgeous!
Paislee and Prescott had the time of their lives riding the wave runners, they love going fast. But the mud and water mixture is what they played in most of the time, it's a good thing we were camping and at the lake to rinse off. Prescott even had his own mud pool that the girls built for him. He ate his BBQ chips as he sat in his mud pool. We were all amazed that he didn't get any water or mud in his bag of BBQ chips. What can I say, the kids LOVES his BBQ chips. He also didn't mind one bit eating the chips even if they were soaked in the mud and water, sick!
We decided one day to take the kids on an adventure. We didn't know where we were going or what we were doing but off we headed out on our adventure. Just for the record, I'm not a fan of not having a game plan! We stopped in St. Charles on our adventure and the kids got a souvenir and we took some fun pictures. We then learned about a cave that was not to far away and decided that would be a great adventure.
So I have been going to Bear Lake camping and to Chad's grandparents cabin for over 10 years now and we have never been to the Minnetonka Cave.
It was awesome and the perfect end to our adventure!
Hiking to cave was half the fun!
So my favorite part about Bear Lake is the raspberry shakes at Hometown In, they are amazing. We decided that we would let Prescott try one because they are worth getting sick for.
As you can see he LOVED it and ate every single bite and drop. He was in heaven, and the best part is he didn't get sick! We figured out that because he didn't have yogurt that morning he could handle the icecream. He can't handle both because it's too much dairy for his body to take. So we skipped out on the yogurt and let him have his dairy intake for the day with a raspberry shake. BEST DAY EVER for this little boy (and parents) who can't eat anything!
The men went golfing one morning, so that afternoon they took the kids and us ladies went shopping at the fair booths. We had a great time shopping kid-less. The kids loved the petting zoo, pony rides and bounce houses at the fair!
We also went to the new race track and as you can imagine Prescott was so excited and yelling CARS and KA CHOW the entire time. Paislee was excited that she got to drive her own car, she wasn't however happy that she didn't win lol!
We had a great time camping in Bear Lake making family memories, we can't wait until Raspberry Days next year!
