ST. GEORGE COMPETITION

So I told Paislee last year if she got her side aerial and back handspring she could do a solo this year. Since she got both and some lol, she got to do a solo this year. However she didn't want mom to choreograph her dance because apparently I don't know anything about dance. So of course Aunt Aubree was the next best thing and Paislee did great for Aubree, and it was TOTALLY worth the money. So Paislee competed her first solo at the St. George Competition. I was a complete nervous wreck, honestly it was worse than drill team state and Paislee was doing cartwheels. That was until she she lined up and saw how many people were there and she got really nervous. I have never seen my Paislee like that and it brought tears to my eyes, I was ready to pull her. Her chest was beating so hard I could see it moving, her lip was shaking and her eyes had tears ready to fall. But after a quick talk and a little prayer, she was ready to go and you would never have guess she was that nervous at all. She had over 30 family and friends there cheering her on, she is one loved little girl. Sorry for my very loud yelling and screaming I was a proud momma! Well, I know I am bias but she did amazing and the judges must have thought so as well because she won QUEEN! We were all on pins and needles and Paislee was very nervous waiting on that stage for her name to be called. But it was all worth it when they called her name for queen and she got a huge trophy, crown and sash. So 1 competition down and 2 competitions to go, but what a perfect start. The next day was the team competitions and really after the anxiety over Paislee's solo, I didn't have a care in the world. Paislee has been dancing with her dance team Foxy's for a couple years now and they dance and get along great. I also adore all the dance moms which is always a bonus. Foxy's did amazing as well and took 1st place in their jazz and 1st place in their lyrical. They also took overall high point in their age category, not bad for their first competition. Way to go Foxy's!!!It was such a nice little family vacation and start to our competition season.

Way to go Paislee! I think it is much more nerve wracking to be the parent than the performer.
