PRESCOTT'S LUAU PARTY

I can't believe how fast the past year has gone by. Prescott's birthday brings back so many memories both good and bad for me. But I can't imagine my life without him, he was worth everything I went through and everything we are still going through with him to keep him healthy. Prescott woke up on his first birthday to his birthday decorations and a couch full of presents.

My favorite present to him was the sweet and loving card Paislee made him. He was so overwhelmed by everything he wasn't sure what to do. Paislee was so excited for his birthday that it made it tons more fun.
He did keep going back to his pirate ship, he wasn't sure what it was or what to do with it. So he would just throw everything which is not a big surprise out of the ship.
For Prescott's birthday breakfast he got to have some Fruity Pebbles, and he loved them!
We had a birthday luau for Prescott's big day. Everyone came dressed in their Hawaiian gear then put a leis on and we were ready to party.
We had Hawaiian haystacks which caused a more grief and stress than they were worth but after the drama with the meat they ended up working out great.
After dinner was served everyone went swimming, which was Prescott's favorite part because the kid loves water. He loves to splash and thinks it is so funny, good thing he doesn't mind water in face.
Chad's niece is did a special hula birthday dance for Prescott.
After Leta's hula dance all the little girls wanted to dance just like her, it was so cute!
Now the fact that I knew Prescott could not have a birthday cake bothered me really bad. It is his first birthday and he wouldn't be able to smash into a cake like most kids because it would make him sick. So we borrowed a real industrial Snowie machine from a family friend and then my cute neighbor made vinyl lettering to decorate his bowl. My goal was to make it special and look as close to a birthday cake as I could. When we made the Snowie Prescott had a smile from ear to ear because he knows what Snowie's are because it is one of the few treats he can have. When we set it in from of him he first just opened his mouth because usually I just feed him some. But it didn't take long for him to pick it up and shove the entire thing right up to his face. It was adorable and made my day because I was so worried about this silly detail. But that's just it, it was not a silly detail to me as his mom. But him shoving it in his face and then dumping it everywhere was so cute and made me so happy.
Like always Chad and I have amazing family and friends who always support and love our kids. Prescott got so many nice gifts to celebrate his first birthday.
I love this little boy so much and can't remember what life was like without this special little guy. Happy 1st Birthday Prescott!
