HAPPY EASTER!

We started our Easter traditions the night before Easter, the kids planted some jelly beans to see what would grow.

Since we had church at 9:00 AM (boo), we got up early Easter morning so we could get everything done before we had to go.
We were also asked to speak on Easter Sunday, so while preparing my talk I came up with some new Easter traditions. I wanted the kids to know why we celebrate Easter and the real reason for the holiday while also having a good time with the Easter Bunny. So after the kid found their baskets from the Easter Bunny we had a spiritual Easter egg hunt. Inside each of the eggs were pictures of Jesus, the Atonement and his crucifixion. We took time to talk about the pictures as a family. In a golden egg were special Easter pennies. We wore our Easter penny in our shoes all day long to help us remember why we celebrate Easter.
Paislee helped Prescott find his basket and surprises from the Easter Bunny. They were both so cute looking through their baskets. Paislee was so excited for her hula hoop and did it all day everyday for like a month. Prescott loved his swing and smiled from ear to ear playing with it.
Before we got ready for church the kids went outside to see what grew from the jelly beans they planted, they found two flower pinwheels and a big lollipop.

This year Paislee's Easter dress was purple and white dress, she also wore a Easter hat and gloves, she looked adorable. Now I wasn't sure how I felt about dressing a boy, but after finding Prescott this sweet suit for Easter, I had a change of mind. He looked so dang cute and it is by far my favorite outfit I have ever bought him. He looked so stinking cute in it, such a handsome little boy.
After church we headed out to Grandpa & Grandma Huntsman's for an Easter egg hunt and dinner.
Paislee found her Easter eggs so fast and Prescott wasn't sure what to do with them, so he just ate them.
We had such a fun Easter this year!
