DAY # 1: DOLPHIN SURPRISE & AMERICAN GIRL STORE

Chad and I decided that since we were in St. George for the dance competition already we would just keep going to California and make a family vacation out of it. Paislee had been saving up her money for over a year to go and swim with the dolphins. So Chad found a whale watch and dolphin watch that she could go see the dolphin in the ocean like she had been saving her money to do. But like all mom's I wanted to make it something special and surprise her. And like all mom's the planning and what I thought was going to happen was totally different than the actual reaction we got. So here is the first video where we gave her the bag of money from her piggy bank she had been saving. The second video is her counting her money to make sure she has enough to see the dolphins. However, I had put Disney Bucks in with her piggy bank money. But she doesn't find out she is going to Disneyland until later in the trip, but this is part of the Disneyland surprise.
So on our drive to the whale and dolphin watch, we got the dreaded phone call. We had been watching the weather and just keep praying it would pass but it didn't. They had to cancel due to 30 hour mile winds in the ocean, which I guess is a good reason. I don't do well with changes especially because I had been planning every last detail of each surprise for weeks. But we decided to do our trip backwards, we were going to surprise Paislee and take her to the American Girl store to go birthday shopping. So instead of doing it last we had to do it first. So here is the surprise video of her finding out, it was POURING rain and by now I was very happy we were not in a boat on the ocean anymore.
