I know I am a little behind but we had a great Christmas this year. The kids were both adorable and I was so excited to give Chad's his present that I didn't sleep on Christmas Eve. So this is how our Christmas story went this year...We had told Paislee she could not come out of her room until we came to get her. Prescott had woke up about 7:30, so I went in to get him and didn't hear anything coming from Paislee's room. So Chad and I got up feed Prescott and got ready as we waited for Paislee to wake up. About 30 minutes later we could hear Paislee sobbing in her room. So Chad went in to see what was wrong. She was awake when I went in to get brother and she just laid there waiting for us to come and get her. She was worried if she yelled to us she would get in trouble. So when Chad went in she was crying because she thought we had forgot about her. We felt horrible and told her we were actually waiting for her to wake up. So once she calmed down she was ready and excited to go see what Santa had brought.Paislee was so dang cute she walked over and looked at all of her Christmas. She picked up the comb holder from her hair salon and then put it down and walked right over to see if Prescott got his kick toy. She was so excited that he got his kick toy that she just wanted to play with him. We finally had to tell her to go and finish looking at what Santa brought. After looking and opening some presents she ran over to see if... the carrots were gone! She laughed and giggled about those carrots and didn't say one word about Santa's treat until we asked her about it.So this year Paislee looked at her gifts and the box sizes to figure out if she got what she wanted. So she started big and then went for the box that was the closest to the shape of a rectangle American Girl box. We thought it was pretty dang clever! And sure enough her plan worked, she found her American Girl in no time. She was so excited and just stared at her, it was so cute!Paislee was so sweet to make sure she took turns opening presents with Prescott. She didn't want him to feel bad, seriously sometimes I have to pinch myself when it comes to her and her brother. She opened Prescott's gifts for him and then would tell him what it was and what it did. Prescott just laughed and smiled because he loves anything that Paislee says or does.Prescott loved his clothes he got from Santa because he could shove them in his mouth. If he can suck, chew or put it in his mouth then he was in heaven and loved it!Prescott had no idea how the kick toy worked at first and would laugh and kick his legs when it would sing and light up. He had no idea he was the one making it work.Luxey loved her pillow pet Santa brought her, now she has her very own and won't have to fight Paislee to share.Paislee must have made it back on the good list this year!Prescott made Santa's good list!I decided to give Chad a private guided deer hunt for Christmas. I knew he would be so excited and would have NO idea what was he opening. So I made up a poem and he opened 13 gifts, 8 of which were Santa's reindeer. When it got to the part where it should have been Rudolph, it told him about the deposit that had been paid for his gift. When he opened the next present that told him what he was doing, he stared at it dumbfounded. He had no idea and I loved every minute of it. I knew I had "the" Christmas gift this year, the gift you are more excited about giving. He actually got a little teary eyed and so did I because it was perfect. Better than what I had imagined (for the past 2 months) he would react. So come this October Chad will be replacing his "monster bucks" with a huge, ginormous nothing smaller than a 4 point buck!We then ate our Christmas muffins and cinnamon wreath and got ready to go to sacrament. Grandpa & Grandma Huntsman came out and went to church with us.We are so lucky that our parents both come to us Christmas day, so we aren't running around crazy. So when we got home from church Prescott went down for a nap and Paislee played with her Christmas until Grandpa & Grandma Bawden came with more presents to open. They always spoil the kids rotten! After presents from G&G Bawden we got ready and headed out to my mom's for presents and Christmas dinner. This year my parents bought Prescott what he needed, clothes. They also let me have most of them early so we could use them.Paislee got lots of fun things but the gift of the night was her ipod from G&G Huntsman. She was so excited and her 3 others cousins got one as well. It was hilarious to listen to them sing at the top of their lungs with the earphones in.After the kids opened presents from G&G Huntsman, we gave my parents their presents and then the rest of our extended family came over for Christmas dinner. Which of course could only be my mom's turkey, potatoes and gravy. I mean really what else would you eat for Christmas dinner?Paislee, Hallee and Hope all got their American Girl dolls from Santa.
