SHE DOES LISTEN!

So the other day Paislee came home from school and said, "Mommy why do some kids at school say Santa is make believe?" I was mad and wanted to cry all at the same time, she is in kindergarten. Why are little tiny kindergartners talking about this already? I said, "Well sweetheart some people choose not to believe in Santa." Then I stop to get my thoughts together. But before I could get my thoughts together to answer her question she then said this, "Mom it is like when people choose not to believe in Jesus or going to church huh?" I was totally taken back by this and my heart just melted. My little 5 year old just answered her own question better than I ever could have. I then said, "Yes, Paislee you are right some people choose not to believe in Santa just like some people choose not to believe in Jesus or going to church." She then said, "Well I choose to believe in Santa and Jesus mommy." Me too baby girl! I sometimes wonder if she listens to the things we try so hard to teach her. But after talks like this I am 100% positive that she is always listening and maybe we are doing something right as parents.
