I had an amazing birthday this year and the birthday card Paislee made me just added to my special day. I mean who wouldn't love a picture of a poodle dressed up like a turkey?
Or who wouldn't want to ride a shark with Paislee for their birthday wish? Paislee is of course the princess wearing the crown and riding on the fin because she doesn't want the shark to bite her. But see now that I am over 30, I am the super brave mommy who rides right on the sharks back, no fear (or crown) here!
Then my sweet hubby surprised me with several gifts including the best gift EVER!!! Along with my new dress and gift card to get new running shoes, he took me away for the weekend. He arranged for my mom to take the kids overnight and we headed up here.
The Alaskan Inn for the night, he totally deserves a big smooch for that!
It was so nice and relaxing to spend some quality time alone with Chad. We had so much fun and we were totally kid free! Our cabin was the Timberwolf and the decorations in the room all had prices on them if you felt inclined to purchase them. We totally debated about bringing this little fellow home with us lol!
My mom is the best mom ever and told us to go find stuff to do on Sunday because she wouldn't give the kids back to us until late that night. So Chad and I went shopping, saw a movie and went to dinner before we went and picked up the kids. It was a much needed weekend and a great birthday surprise, thanks babe I love you tons!!!

That is awesome Amanda! You are so lucky to have your mom around to give you that break! I could not imagine leaving my kids, but then again, I don't have that option! Happy Birthday my friend! And way to go Chad!
